Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Wet Nose Candle Company Candle

Our All Natural Wood Wicks:

  1. Wooden wicks light slower than cotton wicks. To light your new Wet Nose Candle Company candle, hold the lighter to the wick for 20 seconds or more. Slowly moving from one side of the wick to the other.

  2. The first time you light your candle, allow the melted wax pool to reach all the way to the edge of the jar or bottle, which may take two to four hours. This will ensure the candle does not “tunnel” or leave wax on the sides of the container.

  3. Wooden wicks perform best when trimmed to an eighth of an inch. In between each burn, use the back of the lighter to gently knock off the burnt edges of the wick, being careful to keep the wax free of any loose wick trimmings…then light.

  4. If the wick is trimmed too short, the wax will drown out the flame preventing the wick from staying lit. If this happens, blow out the flame and allow the candle to fully cool. Then re-light. This will be the only time you should not trim the wick before lighting.

  5. Avoid burning your candle when half an inch of wax remains at the bottom.

  6. If these tips are followed correctly, your candle will burn slow and clean for the entire life of your candle.
